Do y'all ever lurk on Muslim (or other)sites?

Ok, so we know that many people lurk here, and I've even gotten random mail from supporters . Anyway, have any of y'all lurked on muslim chat sites or the like? I lurked on a shia site for a bit just to see what folks were talking about, and a little red flag went up in my mind.

In one poll, more than 1/3 of the respondents indicated that Islam and western democracy are not compatible (many of whom reside permanently in the states). In another poll, someone was trying to find out how many hispanic converters there were. With all of the Border issues being advertised in the news... well you know...... I assume our gov't is keeping tabs on such discussions anyway.

Besides all that, I think it was definitely informational to understand their perception of world, local, and personal issues. Anyone else done that? Fess up.

Edit... oh and for Dr3, please don't tell us about your adventures in gay chatrooms

I visit a bunch of other forums to learn more about the little world we live in. I think that I have learned more from the Internet than I ever have in class. Often I'll look at a map and then shoot a nerf dart (yes, I have a dart gun ) at it and wherever it hits I look up on Google and find forums to see what people are talking about that country. It is also helpful for actually using the tiny bit of Arabic and German I know, and refreshing my spanish a bit.

From t3h intr4w3b I have planned out my dream trip I would like (read: dream) to do in the next 4-5 years before the world explodes even more. What you ask? Drive from Norway around, through the eastern european countries down though Turkey, into Georgia, Armenia and Azerbajan, through Iran (its actually quite possible), and then through Syria, Lebanon, Isreal, Jordan, over to Saudi Arabia, ferry to Ejypt, across the Sahara to Morroco and ferry back to Spain to tour Europe before ending the "dream trip" in Paris. Little bit sketchy places? Yeah. Hard to do? Hellz yes. But I still want to try.

How much of the muslim community is connected to the internet. On top of that what percent speak english. Etc... going to other sites/forums to read up on what they do is a waste of time. So no I don't.

And whoever sends you messages of support must be some loney, over 30, disgruntled, white male.
