As far as i know ( i am a bartender ) there are no laws statewide or local saying military ID's arent acceptable.. after reading further i noticed it was a "corporate" decision. bull****. Chili's should have the good sense to know that military men drink, heavily ( some )-- and travel quite frequently. seeing as how half of most thier resturants are based around the bar, and they do nothing but push those fruity rum and ice cream drinks... i gotta believe it was the bartender, and maybe some clueless bar manager. If i were you I'd go back and ask to speak to the supervisor, and then the regional.. if it gets that far def DEF make sure u get the word out... chili's would be quite embarassed.

so yeah it may jsut be apersonal thing.. the manager/ the bartnder dont care if you put your life on the line so they can give free drinks to blondes who are 19

2nd the idea of a letter to your local news paper. Maybe get other people from your post to do the same thing, and also to Chili's corporate headquarters

Subject: "why do you hate the people that die and protect your freedom?"

I'm a little taken back by how pissed this issue seems to have many of you. Trust me when I tell you I'll have no problem cutting Chili's out of my diet. I refust to patronize an establishment that doesn't at least recognize service of any kind, be it Peace Corps, law enforcement or otherwise. A bar in New Orleans gives you your first drink free if you present a military ID by policy and many bartenders do on their own accord.

Chili's is a glorified fast food joint. I dont go there unless I'm dragged by family/work for a party or meeting.
