Official: Obama Rejects All Afghan War Options
LBJ all over again....
President Barack Obama does not plan to accept any of the Afghanistan war options presented by his national security team, pushing instead for revisions to clarify how and when U.S. troops would turn over responsibility to the Afghan government, a senior administration official said Wednesday.

I've got a plan for him: yank out our troops and stop spending money we don't have on wars we can't win pissing off people that already don't like us and start concentrating on fixing things at home.

I was listening to a former CIA agent on the Armstrong & Geddy Show. He basically said, we need about 300-400 thousand soldiers on the ground to win the war. 30-40k that the General is asking for is only the bare minimum to maintain the current area. Afghanistan is bigger then texas and has high altitude terrain.
I don't see us winning the war. This is already turning into a Vietnam. Losing people for nothing.
This isn't officially a war. Cannot declare a war on Fanatical Islam, then people like Hasan would be targeted. (Government tries ALL things to prevent racist/prejudice including blinding ourselves) However, we CAN declare war on Al Queda with congress. Then we would have the shoot/kill go for all Al Queda + their allies. Currently, we don't know what we're fighting for, is it Al Queda? Taliban? Afghanistan? Islam?
Just a dumb war, and we need to admit defeat, and pull everyone out.
