Yeah I can't honestly believe she would win the nomination. If she does my vote goes to whoever is the best independent or if McCain or Powell are running on the Republican ticket.

I would vote for Bush before I voted for Hillery and I hate GWB.

The real interesting thing will be to see how Obama works with those two while continuing to hold broad appeal for white democrats and people still on the fence.

My gut tells me that there will be some interaction with those two because unfortunately Jackson's right that Obama cannot overlook the black vote. But I also believe Obama is smart and he won't let that interaction define him. His track record points to the fact that he works with people, no matter what their views. We'll see.
I know he wasn't going to back Hillary. Here's my theory, though... if you're black and back Jackson because he's black and stands-up for blacks in ridiculous social situations, then you're superficial and “ignant” enough to vote for Obama because his Presidency would be a landmark in a world "that's always tryin' to keep da black man down." Obama already has the vote of these idiots just like Kerry already had the vote of the liberals but associated himself with them anyways. It was suicide for him in 2004.

Then again, this may not make sense and I may be wrong... I would think Obama becoming president would take another excuse of oppression away from the “unfortunate” black community. It would most likely damage Jackson and Sharpton's career as whining *****es in the long run. Hell, I might vote for him just because it takes another race card away from them! Of course, then Jerome and his friends will sit on their front porch and call Obama white because he "sold out” just like Powell and Rice.

Regardless, Jackson and Sharpton are the worst thing to happen to the black community. He just needs to ignore him altogether, not necessarily cast them aside because that could rub some of the black community the wrong way.

I understand what you are saying. It will be hard for Obama to distance himself from the likes of Jackson and Sharpton though.

McCain has no shot in hell and I'm glad about it. Powell samething but atleast he learned from his mistake. Rice no chance in hell she wouldn't stand a chance no matter what.

I can't really think of a Republican that will do well. Hillary has tons of money Obama lacks that. I like Jim Webb and Edwards, but I won't count out Hillary.

Jim Webb. . . After his rebuttle to the State of the Union address, I could never see him leading anything more than a sub-Committee.

What about it did you not like? I think he made his point very clear, especially concerning the Iraq war.

Yeah I thought his speech was farily eloquant and managed to show a certain level of anger and annoyance without resulting to petty mud slinging...
