I vote. I recycle. I discuss politics with my friends (who also all vote). All of these things effect change on some level.
PS- I agree that politics is BS...but only because the system has evolved independant of society as a whole for so long that the correlation between what happens in the gov't and what happens in everyday life is weak at best. In other words, we need to knock all the politicians in the country down a notch.
