coilover seized, cant adjust ride height.... need help

One of my coilovers seized, as in i can no longer turn the bottom piece to adjust the ride height up or down, anyone know of a way to unseize?
i bought a thing of pb blaster and was going to start spraying it on every night and let it soak and then try again this weekend but i dont want to waste time and pb blaster if it wont work.

the circled part is what im talking about

That is the mount. The perch is above your circle.

And this is the GH forum...

the perch is for preload, the mounting body actually twists to shorten the strut length instead of taking away from the spring size and restricting the travel of the dampeners. thats the way your supposed to adjust coilovers lol.

Thats not entirely true. On older renditions of the coilover set up, the only way to adjust ride height is by the spring through perch adjustment. It was not until recently that manufactures made an updated rendition so that users can set spring preload and have it set without touching it again to adjust ride height. That is where the fully threaded mount came in. The mount meets with the thread on the damper body to lower or raise the total length of the coil over. Take notes that this was not how it was from the stone ages.......

Closer pic of the bottom. Pretty sure you need a spanner wrench to release the sleeve from the strut to adjust, NOT twisting the strut body. That will adjust the whole thing, perch included. In some (all?) cases, you may want to release preload on the spring while making this adjustment. And yes, in ye olden days, you used the perch to adjust.

i remember the old coilovers like that lol, just thought they were pretty out of date.
i can release the bottom nut but the sleeve/tube/mount itslef wont spin to shorten the strut length, its seized up in there, my buddy suggested cutting the top off of a 5 gallon jug of oil and letting it sit, and i figure the only way to come up with that is experience lol. i guess i can try it. that or i can spray it with the pb blaster and smack the outside with a hammer till it releases maybe

Heat gun? Put the wrench on the nut and hit it with a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer. Are those megans/bc's?

they are megans, i saw a guy on youtube that did it that way, i soaked it for a while with pb blaster, like a week, and then used a heat gun on it, ill try just the oil soak or pb blaster soak and then if that doesnt work ill order a heat gun from harbor freight or something.
