Ehhhh well.
I always say if it was there from the factory leave it.
Unless you mean by upgrading it. No need to upgrade it if you don't need it.

If your are looking to upgrade your handling then yes. Sways should be the first aftermarket upgrade everyone does. I didn't believe it until I put them on. Literally night and day difference in the corners.. I went with 25mm Perrin sways front and rear. Best purchase I've made.. And I've purchased a lot lol

I felt a big difference in just little stuff like backing out right after I put a 24mm sway on my car, let alone what it did for me at higher speeds. That said, I had also lived fine theretofore. Used sways can be had for ~$100, easy to go back to stock if you don't like it, cheap up front cost if you end up not want to go back.
What's to like about a lot of performance mods is that they raise the ceiling, and lower the floor if you will. They make it easier to go and do stuff while fast, and often make going slow more pleasant too.

"Need" is a rather strong word. Based on expert advice and an "OH ****!!!" experience out on I-80, my 2013 WRX now has 24 mm Whitelines front and rear. They do make a difference and they add a bit of solidity to the way the car feels. Having said that, many people would never drive hard enough to really tell any difference.
Would I do it again? Probably. Is it a must-have upgrade for a daily driver? Not really.

For me personally, yes. I have 22mm front and rear Whitelines for daily driving, but that's because I know what I want my car to feel like. If you don't intend to push the car harder than daily driving, then I agree with the above poster, you probably don't need them.

but according to your vehicle description, you have a 2013 wrx. IMO, the factory sway setup is way more than enough for daily driving. "Need" is definitely a strong word. Sounds like more of a "want". haha

Personally I would if you're a spirited driver like myself. I recently installed one on my 2.5i and couldn't be happier. The car handles 10 times better in corners. You can get a used wrx sway bar for about 100 bucks with endlinks and all and it makes a huge difference
