Why is there this forum?

The bc/bd/gc/gd have a lot more in common than the bc/bd and be/bp cars in regards to suspension, and it appears that nobody has made a post here in forever. I guess restructuring the website would be a little silly, but a redirecting sticky might prove to be helpful.

and you do? what exactly is your contribution? suggesting something to people who can do nothing? if you've got a problem with the layout, contact a moderator.

posting your 'suggestion' or 'contribution' to normal users will not change anything.

oh, and heres my 'valuable contribution'(the SUGGESTIONS forum on this board): https://www.i-club.com/forums/site-suggestions-feedback-47/

I see your point about gen 1 and 2 Legacy suspension versus the modern suspensions, but I really don't think the differences necessitate a different forum. We dont' need a BC/BD/BF/BG Suspension forum and a BE/BL/BH/BP Suspension forum.

Too much organization can really make a site hard to navigate. For now, we might as well let this forum be. If a newb asks a question about swaping 2nd gen coilovers into a 3rd gen, it won't really be that hard to say "It can't be done. The suspension has changed between those generations"

+1 for nKoan.

The key point is that too much forum organization and segmentation makes a forum hard to navigate. In fact, I wouldn't say it would be a bad thing to combine all 4-5 sections of legacy related forums into 1 here. Maybe get a little bit more action that way.

If you have a....And want strut/spring combo......Then you Need
90-91 AWD.......GC/GM/GF (93-2001impreza)......Front and rear spring perches
.......................GD/GG (2002- impreza................Front/rear spring perches
.......................BD/BG (95-99 legacy)..................Front/rear spring perches washers between the top screw and the topmount
.......................BE/BH (2000- legacy)..................Probably front perches, no fit rear
.......................SF (98-02 forester).....................Probably front/rear perches
.......................SG (03- forester ........................Probably front/rear perches
.......................BC/BF fwd..................................Struts Don’t Fit
90-91FWD.......All AWD fitment is the same

92-94 AWD.......GC/GM/GF (93-2001impreza)....Nothing!
........................GD/GG (2002- impreza.............front spring perches
........................BD/BG (95-99 legacy)...............washers between the top screw and the topmount
........................BE/BH (00-04 legacy)...............Probably front perches, no fit rear
........................SF (98-02 forester)..................Probably Nothing!
........................SG (03- forester.......................Probably front perches
........................BC/BF fwd................................Rear struts Don’t Fit
92-94FWD.......All AWD fitment is the same

The difference between 90-91 and 92-94 struts is the height that the spring seat is welded to the strut at. See http://www.bbs.legacycentral.org/vie...ht=kyb+fitment
swapping which springs and struts from what years you use you could raise or lower your car and maintain factory suspension stiffness.
