When to get alignments?

Is it nessecary to get an alignment after every suspension mod, ie after swaybar, links... in that case, would it be more econimical to wait till I get all the parts I want, install them at the same time, and get alignment. Does it hurt if i go months without alignment after putting in a swaybar? And when I bring my car to the shop, would they know what to do, or do I have to tell them the numbers?

if you bring your car to a normal shop they will most likely set all specs to 0. if you bring it to a suby dealer, they will put it back to factory specs. most suby dealers run about $90 for a four wheel alignment.

i may be wrong, but dont think i am, you dont need an alignment after a new swaybar. i know you dont need one after links. you need an alignment every time you change the ride-height of your car.
