USDM VS JDM Chassis

Hi guys, a question for the experts. I own a my04 wrx wagon, and my fiancee has had her eye on a 05 GT sedan. What i want to know are the differences between the BL-5 in japan vs our sedan. what jdm kits, as far as bumper, sideskirts, as well as suspension products are interchangeable between the two markets?? My co-worker is a hardcore nissan guy, and has owned subarus in the past, when he was younger in japan. He told me that the usdm cars have a wider chassis and wheelbase, which is also affected by the fact that we use inches in america while they use centimeters in japn, and most parts of the world. i hope someone can answer these questions for me thanks.

Not sure about what your Nissan friend is talking about, but to the best of my knowledge, the chassis of models in Japan and the US are identical. Any body kit that is meant for a JDM Legacy should fit perfectly on a car of the same revision in the US. LegacyGT.com is a good place for info on exactly what fits or not.
