Don't buy springs cheaper than Eibachs. Eibachs are very high quality and work right with your car. Anything cheaper probably is inferior.

but your struts will go out in a little while (from what I've seen, about 3k miles), and you'll have to buy new ones anyway. sorry to be a buzzkill ô¿ô.
Doug
not so sure about 3k miles. on my 450ft.lb./in. springs, the struts lasted about 3k, and were still not totally blown, just a little bouncy. i think the eibach lowering springs are around 260-220 F/R, so it isnt a huge bump in stiffness over stock. they eibachs will lower the car just enough to get rid of that unsightly wheel well gap, and give a nice little bump in handling feel, while not being overly aggressive. they arent all that pricey either, nothing when compared to a set of Tein RA's

Don't be so cynical Kevin.

Eibach makes nice springs (I have springs made by them ) but they don't seem to be what you are looking for. 5Zigen, Teins, and Whitelines are all cheaper. They don't make 5Zigens anymore, which is probably a good thing, so you might have problems finding them. I'd recommend the Teins. They are decent springs and give a pretty big drop. Don't expect a huge increase in handling though.

Ok. Anything significantly cheaper isn't going to be well-researched and tested. It will fit, but it won't be ideal unless the manufacturer got real lucky. For the known quality of Eibachs and Whiteline, it's my opinion that they are worth their cost for peace of mind.

And I did err by not asking exactly what you want out of your car. If low low drop is what you want, try Teins, H&Rs, Whiteline Flatouts, or Eibach Sportlines. If handling is more important, stick to Eibach Prokit or Whiteline Control.

Also, aftermarket springs will reduce the life of your stock struts if you don't replace them. whether it's 5% or 90% depends on how much drop and how stiff the springs are. Some are better than others.

Do they make a Eibach Sportline???? About 2 months ago i bought springs, ended up with the Eibach Pro-Kits and love them btw, and at first i really wanted to slam it and i knew the sportlines would lower it more but i couldn't find them, even on Eibach's web-site. Is this something recent or was i just not lookin in the right places. O i have an 02 RS.
