No idea, don't know much about suspension but from what i've heard the Stock STi struts are fine but I dont know if the WRX struts are different.

IMO the prodrive springs lower the car alot. Everyone says its a "mild" drop but it was low on my bugeye. Looked great and handled good on my 2002 bugeye wagon but MUCH more prone to crash-banging through uneven pavement and bottoming out on driveways/offroad.

Granted, the prodrives dont "slam" the wrx like S-Techs or coilovers but definetely lowers it a good amount.
