SS has only bound or rebound adjustment (not sure which it is) and the Flex has both bound and rebound adjustment.

1 way means that the compression and rebound are adjusted together. Basically you have X present for rebound/compression combination settings.

2 way means that you can adjust compression and rebound INDIVIDUALLY.

HOWEVER,

Sometimes, people misadvertise and refer to "2-way" adjustable coilovers as to 1-way + height adjustable.

From the sound of things, it means that one can only be used to lower the car, while the other can actually raise the ride height from stock.

i always thought 2-way had threads above and below the spring. that way you can adjust the spring preload while still getting the proper strut travel.
