TEIN HA coil-overs????
hey i just got the HA kit for the WRX,
its sweet!
but heres the problem, the right side is making some serious noise, like every movement. now, i didnt do anything to cause this cause its a bolt on...
does anyone else had this problem with the tein's? does anyone own the Type HA coilovers? if you did have the same problem how did you manage to repair it.
A friend told me its because of the weather..during the spring or the summer time the noise goes away.
im scratching my head here, its making a mattress type of squeeking at every stroke.
please help.
i was wondering if i should bring it back cause tein has a life time warranty, but since its all on and i need the car im trying to fix this with everything on.
also if anyone wants the stock suspension off of a 02 WRX give me a holla!
Thanks

Given that you have assembled the coilovres properly, the only thing that will make noise is the spring itself. Thats fairly normal, if it is the spring. If you ride height is too high, the spring will have a lot of play when the shock is fully extracted and there is no weight on that wheel.
Make sure you have assembled them properly. Are you using the stock top mounts or pillow ball mounts?

I have ridden in a GC8 with Teins HA's with PBM and they were loud. I had HA's on my GC8 with stock mounts and they were nice and quiet.
Given that they are new and were assembled properly, they are just like that then. You'll get used to it, don't worry.

the noise you guys are hearing is normal. it is caused by the hard solid Tein pillowmounts. nothing to worry about.
DMS makes good rally setup, but they have their fair shares of issues as well. the only DMS setup i would go for is the 50's ..the 40s isn't so great.

my ha's made a really bad noise after the first couple weeks. it was my right front and sounded like the springs were grinding every time i turned the steering wheel.
took it off and found that i assembled it wrong. i reassembled it and no more grinding.
the rear tops do make some noise but thats normal. i've had mine for over 6 months and love them. no regrets!
