Sway bar links hits the control arms!!!
Hello all...
So while I was driving yesterday I heard something cracked or smashed really hard in the rear suspension, so I lifted the car to take a look and found that the sway bar links hits the lower control arm on the left side, so my question is, are the sway bar links should look like this or are they bent? Because they look weird!
Btw it's an 07 GD STI

your end links are bent. Replace them with some Kartboy endlinks. while your at it you could take this time to upgrade the rear sway bar too. But def replace the end links.

HOLY BENT. Looks like it has been that way for a while too...
Looking at the pics I think it seems kind of obvious what happened there. Those are supposed to be vertical. The last tard who worked on that area remounted them incorrectly, placing the swaybar is in the wrong orientation or this car was hit pretty hard on the front.
Damn, couldn't find a good pic. Found this one that I believe is a forester with STI lateral arms, sway and Kartboy endlinks

This is common and happens when you lift the rear off the ground. The weight of the suspension pulls the sway bar down, and when you put the car back on the ground without fixing the position of the SB you get bent oem links.
Lift the rear of the car a little to where you can pivot the sway and link together without taking everything apart and place the sway above the lateral links.
