I have a 18mm RSB on my 96 L, I've heard that a 20mm is a better choice however. You might be able to find the mounting hardware you need at a junkyard. I'll try to snap some pics later to show you how the L looks back there with a RSB.

You will need:

A swaybar (any 93-03 rear swaybar will work, shoot for an 18mm (WRX wagon 02-03) or 20mm (WRX sedan 02-03) rear swaybar, and the corresponding bushings.
Rear endlinks.
Rear endlink bolts (some aftermarket endlinks come with bolts)
Rear swaybar mounts.
RS or other model ~97-01 rear control links with the endlink attachment points (most expensive part of adding a swaybar to a non-swaybar L).
