Suspension mods

Lookin to upgrade the suspension on my 04 wrx. Could you guys give me your thoughts/route I should take with what to get first. Also what do you think is better, a full coil over kit or get shocks and springs. Stabalizer bars are a given also end-links. Pockets not deep so I am lookin best for my money right now.

Swaybars are a good start.
Or you could always look at used STI parts. ( springs, bars, etc)

rear sway bar and new endlinks (stock endlinks will break with upgraded sway bar), then springs (if for street) or coilovers (if for track/autox) or gooood coilovers (if for both). strut tower bars help a little too.

also, look into getting some tires. cuz all the stiffness in the world isn't gonna help if you can't plant it to the pavement...

preferably, because if you use that swaybar the way it should be used (=< then those stock endlinks will snap in a heartbeat.

There is this one place Mach V motorsports in VA that I go thru. All the people there are real cool. Bought my RS*R from them and it was the least expensive out of any other dealer. So I am probably gonna deal with them. But if i find a better deal I am going to go with it. I looked on ebay for sway bars and thier like 185 (including shipping) and end links are 125 (shipping included) All perrin parts BTW. Likewise on the deals let me know of any good finds. Thanks.

Actually I did find Front/Rear sways, rear mounts, and endlinks for about $546.48 shipped. They are Hotchkis Brand though, supposedly they are a brand off of Cobbtuning. The bars seem pretty good, 3 way adjustable, but I don't know how good the endlinks are...that's probably my only concern. I have to read up more on the they're endlinks and see how strong they are. But if everything checks out cool then that seems to be the best setup for me. But let me know what you find out.

I've always known Helix to be up there when it comes to suspension for imprezas. Whiteline has been coming up too. Currently I have a Whiteline 3way 22mm rear sway with Helix Endlinks. The endlinks are guranteed which is why I got them...

I agree that endlinks should be changed but the OE links aren't guaranteed to break with an upgraded bar. I ran 3 track days and 1 auto X event competitively with the OE links and a Cusco RSB set at 22mm and they held up. I'm now running KB links with a 24MM adjustable Whiteline bar.

I didn't think Helix started making suspension parts for Subaru's until a couple years ago (not 100% positive). Whiteline on the other hand has been making suspension parts for Subaru for a long time.

+1 on the tire comment. IMO, tires should be first.

what do you plan on doing with the car and do you have any $ left over after the sways?

I don't know from experience but I've read some bad things about Perrin. You could get a whiteline sways and Kartboy links cheaper and they are better parts.

Turn in Concepts is a great vendor, by far the best I've ever dealt with. If you have any questions Clint is very knowledgeable.

BTW, Whiteline rates their bars a bit different than most. Most companies 22mm adjustable sway will be 22,23and 24mm but Whiteline lists the middle setting so a 24mm adjustable RSB will be 22,24 and 26. The Whiteline adjustable FSB list the softest so a 24mm FSB will be 24 and 26mm.
