subaru performance suspension
The KYB struts on the market for the WRX, and every set of Koni struts that I have seen, are not inverted like the ones that come with the "subaru performance suspension." I'm sure that they're still good struts, but the inverted ones are much stronger by design.

The susp. that you are talking about is the VER. 7 STI Spec C (SPT KIT). It has the same part numbers on the struts as the normal STIs but has a higher rated front and rear springs. Ths front springs are 217 LB and the rears and 190 I have this kit on my 02 and I like it a lot. It will be a world of difference from the stock susp.
Go to ravensblade-impreza.com and look around for the spring rates chart. It will give you all of the info on springs. He also has a lot of cool links on the site.

I just finished installing my STi takeoffs and man are they cool. I still need to get an alignment, but the difference is very evident. Transition and turn-in are a breeze and much more direct. I still have the stock RSB so when I get the Cobb one, I expect even better feel from the suspension. My STi takeoffs are from an 02 JDM STi.
