hiya all! im a little excited! just got most of my suspension(agx/eibach springs, waiting on my alk and rsb w/mounts).. but ive got a question about strut mounts. i ordered new fronts from tirerack cause im lazy... but they didnt have any for the rear. now if the rears look like my current fronts, all nice and dry rotted/cracked, im in trouble. are the fronts the same part # or are they different? i tried checking subaruparts.com to see if they had something (mostly to check part #'s) but didnt see anything listed (or my bodystyle as a matter of fact).... so does anyone know where i can get some kyb rear strut mounts or if the fronts and rears are the same p/n?

ive got most of the suspension, new rims, and tires sitting in a pile in my living room and i want to call in sick tomorrow just so i can throw it all in!!! man i just wish it was all here.

btw, car is a 97 L sedan if it helps...

 

The rears are different P/N.....call subaruparts.com and ask them about the mounts.....Hell....call all the vendors and see if they can find you some group N's :banana:

 

You can consider your car an RS for most things when you are looking on subaruparts.com. Based on their part numbers, your strut tops are the same as for my 2001 RS. In other words, GC8 STi strut tops fit.

 

ahh helps if i look in the right area.. didnt look under the strut section. DOH!

how do the stock mounts compre to the kyb's? bout the same/kyb is stiffer/etc?

 

AFAIK the KYB mounts aren't much different than stock, but I don't know anyone that's tried them.
