Arrow Strange sound coming from brakes

We'll guys I have a 04 WRX with only 26K now on it and when I
first got my car at I belive 17K miles I would brake and the car
would brake perfectly fine with no sounds at all.Now when I am
coming to a stop braking my car has this scraping and squeaking
noise coming to a stop. When the car is driving I don't hear anything.
It is only when I put my foot on the brakes. The sound seems to be
coming from the front brakes and it seems to be pretty loud. The right
side is the loudest for some reason. The brake pads are only half wear
right now.My brakes are 100% stock sad to say.The owners manual says
If a squeaking or scraping noise is heard from the disc brakes while braking.
Immediately have your vehicle checked by your Subaru dealer.
My car is under warranty.I would like to hear your opnions guys before
I bring my car to the Subaru Dealership.
Thanks, Chris

it sounds like the metal feelers for worn out brake pads but if you say they are only half worn then I'm not sure. check the pad clips and see if they are rubbing. i don't know what else to tell ya. sorry

Thanks for your insight I called Subaru friday when I first started
notesting the noise and I made a apointment for next week. They
said they are really busy and they wouldn't be done with their rush
of cars until the following Monday so, I will not be driving my car for
a week until I can fined out what is going on with my brakes.

I doubt you need new pads already. Just bust the feelers off. Buy some new pads in a couple months and toss them on. The feelers kick in way to early.
