Strange loss of breaking under moderate pressure and choppy streets.

I have noticed that sometimes when I am coming to a stop and applying moderate breaking or more- if the car hits a bump of a pothole in the street it feels like my pedal drops some and I lose most if not 90% of my breaking. It almost feels liek the ABS is kickign in but not really. Cause I know what ABS feels like and it will stop the car fast typically. This is something where the car seems to be fighting to stop but just can't.

I almost have to let up on the break and then push it down again to get the car to stop.

It is not eaisly reproducable so I don't think the dealer would do anyhting for me. I already had to have the ABS module replaced last year cause the pedal would consistantly drop to the floor as you came to a stop- but this si a little different.

All I knwo is that my warrany is up soon and I am looking for advice.

I think it is the ABS. My blazer was really bad under the same conditions, and my WRX does it also. I just had the same thing happen to me as I was getting to work 15 minutes ago.

So is there nothing that can be done. We have to live with this and hope that we never have to stop short over a bumppy path cause you know the car is not goign to stop if the road is bumppy.

are you kidding me. No I want the car to work not foe me to have to do modifications to fix it. The dealer should fix it and Subaru should admit it does not work properly if it doesn't.

 Dood...there is a whole, big, maybe soon to be, recall thing in the works on the WRX ABS system.
The dealer can't do squat for you or anybody else.

WHen is that goign to happen? Will it happen?

I noticed some crazy noise when turning the wheel now. A clickign when the wheel gets to a full turn. Happens when I am moving very slow like when making a 3-point turn, or when at a stand still.
