I refuse to put NAPA (or any other auto parts) rotors on my car. It's clear that they suck.

I'm waiting for a decent company to come out with some but I'm coming up empty-handed.

ummmm.....says who? There are only marginal differences in heat dissipation and the main differences come to durability.

A couple of the T1 guys I know both use napa rotors ($28 each for the front) and one has been in contention to beat John H. for a couple of years running. Ofcourse its hard to beat someone with the factory ties that Mr. Heinricy has...

If those rotors lasted me 2 events or hpde's at the track and then have to be replaced due to stress fractures from heat....I could buy almost 40 rotors for the price of one set of factory brembo blanks fom subaru. That is alot of fun at the track

Says who? You've never had cheap-sh*t rotors on your car? Go to Meineke sometime and then you can tell me all about how within 7000 miles your rotors warped from nothing but highway driving; no panic stops or anything. Straight, regular driving.

I don't regularly race my cars so I'm not interested in $28 rotors that will last me a day. I want a quality rotor that's going to last me, quite a while. I'll pay the extra coin for a quality product. I prefer to have quality parts on my car. Not to mention, I don't skimp on safety, and brakes are most definitely safety-related.

Sure, I agree that some cheap CRAPA (NAPA) rotors may be alright for a few trips around the track, but I'm not tracking....

Woah.....simmer down. Guess its just easier for me to justify them than you IF they were available. If you don't track it than why do you need new rotors already? The factory ones should last you 60k + miles if you don't drive it like a fool on the street. Its not skimping on safety if you inspect your rotors. If they are warped....turn em. Again, Its probably easier for me to do that since I work at a dealership. But its ok...just make sure the "expensive" rotors you buy aren't napa rotors that have been cross-drilled/slotted to further reduce their "quality."

Sorry..just some words from someone who has been through 10-15 sets of rotors on various things. If you are gonna buy "quality" then expect to spend more than $300 per rotor. You will for the good ones. Other wise you are buying rebadged raybestos.

???? I'm not upset. I'm just making a statement as to why I wouldn't go with those brakes. Sorry if my post came across making it sound as if I was "excited."

There is nothing wrong with the current rotors on my car. I'm just pricing parts for when they will need replacing in the future.

As for turning rotors, I would just rather replace them, because when turning you end up with extra heat which will just cause the rotors to warp quicker anyway....

Oh NO. YOU AGAIN? When did you get your VIP status? Was it before or after you joined in with your mental midget friends on the other thread?

Dude, don't help me "just because I own an STi." You should help me because you're a knowledgeable person and want to help someone out.....kinda like what this forum was meant for in the first place.

Anyway, thanks.

No prob. Just dont make any more comments about me or my friends. I know the whole story and nothing needs to be said about it. Lets just leave it alone and good luck with your brakes.

I don't know the whole story and I still think that that was very big of you. Hooray to an end to all intranet arguements!
