Okay so my 03 wrx has the v7 STi suspension and whenever im going below 20 mph, or have more than 2 people in the car, I can hear the suspension making a bumping noise in the back. Its really annoying and I dont know how to fix it. Any tips?

I dont know. It just makes this wierd noise, I think Im going to take it to DB Tuned next week when I get paid.

 

You have a case of the clunk. It happens to all STi V7 suspensions as they age. If you go digging for threads, there should be a number of them detailing the situation. It is non performance impacting, but annoying as hell. It should be repairable but they have to be removed and worked on.

 

take an impact gun to the top bolt holding the tophats on to about 85 ft/lb. if that doesnt work (it will) the spring needs to be re-seated in the cone piece directly under the tophat.
