springs

I'm a newbie that just got a WRX wagon '04 last week. I was wondering if it's a good idea to just get lowering springs w/o changing the shocks. I'm just after the cosmetics for now, no racing or anything like it. Any recommendations on what springs to get for the type of use I'm going for? I'm thinking of getting the Eibach prokit springs. Drops it 1 in the back 1.3 in the front. Very subtle, nothing too drastic that will complement my 18X7 wheels.
Any thoughts and comments appreciated.
