Springs

I know adjustable coilovers are probably the best way to go, but let's say I want to lower my car with just springs...what brand do you guys recommend that handles well, but aren't too stiff to where they shake the crap out of my brains during normal driving? Megan, eibach, tein??

Actually coilovers are bad/poor choice for 95% of owners. Excessive money spent and capabilities for a street car, additional maintenance, less reliability, shorter lifespanned, and most people never bother to set them up properly. Plus many are not actually upgrades over good struts and springs, which most people can't out drive on public roads anyways.

For your car, I recommend Mach V Blues personally. They are copies of Prodrive Blues, which were one of the best springs ever made for GD WRXs.

But here is another important question for you: What struts are you running and how many miles are on them?

They are KYB struts, and I've had them for about 2 years I'd say. They were a little stiff and bouncy brand new, but they broke in pretty well.

Are the Mach V you're referring to made by H&R?

STi Pinks. Factory fit, a dash lower, a dash more snug but will be a comfy ride on a real road

I had the Prodrives on my last bug-eye, they were great springs.

Will those fit my Wrx even though they're for the STI? How much will it lower the car? I don't wanna slam it by any means, but def want to reduce that ridiculous front wheel/fender gap

I remember reading years ago that they were made to Mach V's specs by Eibach, but I don't know if it's true or not.

Just wanted to make sure you weren't asking what springs to put on 100k mile struts.

Myself, i was quite happy going to Swift springs, the Spec-R type.

more info here: Swift Springs USA

closed the gap, but the drop was not ridiculous, still very streetable.
