Definitely get struts with the springs. Even the KYBs won't last forever on a 2" spring, but much longer than stock would.

Hey, I have a 7300lb suv...

Why on earth would anyone ever want to see the demise of such a great automotive monstrosity?

Like the tag though.

Why does everyone think that dropping the ride height of the Subaru's increase performance? If you are doing it for looks that is one thing. But if you want performance out of the suspension then I suggest that you find springs that do not lower the ride height too much. There is the point of going to far where lowering does not help and a point where it is optimized.

Increases handling? Maybe for some cars for the way they are designed but not Subaru suspensions. If that was the case, then why does Prodrive not drop the car 2inches closer to the ground? There is a reason why it was designed like that.

Jiro, trust us- the optimum drop for handling in an Impreza is about 1" front and 1.2" Rear. This happens to be the drop for Prodrive springs and Eibach Prokit springs. Some others are close too. H&R, Sprint, and most others not made by performance-oriented tuners are lower. Your car won't handle bad per se, but not as well as with a proper drop. The aerodynamic considerations are not relevant below about 130 mph.
