rims / tires

i am starting research now for new rims and tires for my 02 rs. I am leaning towards the rota subzeros. Currently my suspension has eibach pro-kit springs, and a cusco rear swaybar.

i have been browsing around but I am new to wheels and tires so im confused by all the sizing measurements and what is optimal for my setup. I would like an all season performance tire that does not have a hugh sidewall (dont want to roll) and will give me an agressive look.

for performance wet and dry are the most important, if it comes to it i can put the stockers back on for winter but id rather not.
i live in ny so i will see some snow. rain. and gotta love the potholes. i may do an occasional autocross but not too much, mostly spirited street driving.

i have been reading about the pirelli p7000 and they seem to be getting good reviews. along with the sumo htk or somethin, cant remember right now.
can anyone give me a hand? what are people running? how about optimal sizing?
thanks
Pat

I would recommend that you go with a 225/45R17.

Tire options:
If you can afford it, I would go with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. They are supposed to be the ultimate high performance all-season. But they each tire costs an arm and a leg.

The Sumitomos are good as well. I have a friend who is using them and he likes them quite a bit.

I would stay away from the P7000's as I am told that they will generate more noise as they wear down.

Rota Sub Zeros are really good. But if you are worried about potholes and stuff. I would recommend going with the Rota Attacks as they are like bricks but are light also.
