replacement springs
I had a set of Eibach pro springs in my car, but as I was changing my wheels today (from winter tires to summer ones) I noticed that my drivers side front spring broke in two. It appers that there might have been a hairline crack in the coil, and over time salty water got in and corroded it right in half! Anyways, now I need to replace them. I want a lower ride height but not a groud scraper. The Eibachs were decent ride wise, but I found that they didn't really lower the car all that much. What do you guys recommend? Also is there a kit available to fix the camber issues due to the lowered ride height? I live in Calgary....do u guys know if there a reputable dealer to get this stuff? Thanks all!

This part specifically:
Springs
Springs for 02-03 Impreza RS or WRX will fit.
Springs designed for 04+ Impreza will fit on your 02-03 Impreza struts or 02-03 aftermarket struts, but you must use 04+ rear strut top mounts and the Scooby921 strut spacer. Details on why the spacer is needed available here:

Scooby921 Strut Spacer available here:

Aftermarket springs designed for Impreza STi will be too stiff for stock struts. OEM STi springs work well though.
You can use 04+ springs with 04-07 RS, WRX and 04 STi struts. You must then use 04+ style rear top mounts.

Awsome....thanks for the advice. I just called the shop and cancelled the order for the Cobb springs, since I would need to use +04' rear strut tops (and I don't want to order those). I'll use 02-03 specific springs, maybe from Whiteline or Perrin.
Also, I noticed that my car was starting to wear out the inside of all 4 tires with the Eibach springs (the ones that broke and will be replaced). Can the camber be adjusted using the factory adjustibility or will I need camber plates to correct for the lower ride height?
Thanks all!

Prodrive and Swift make great 02-03 specific springs too.
You should be able to get enough camber adjustment out of the stock bolts, no camber plates needed. In the rear, camber bolts would be an option but I personally wouldn't bother. Just make sure your alignment guy sets it to 0 toe front and rear.

thanks for the great advice. It looks like I'm going to go with a set of Megan springs. I checked out their web site and it looks like a decent product. I also got a great deal on them.
I'll make sure to tell the alignment shop about the 0 toe front and rear. Once i get the springs, I'll try and post some pics...

if you're just looking to replace the springs and looking for a comfortable ride the tanabe nf210 would be a good idea. they add a little bit lower ride height while maintaining comfortability. or the tanabe df210 that add more lowering capabilities and add performance and handling.
