Reducing laptimes with springs...

I've been building up and playing with cars for years, auto-x, commute, whatever, I've been around the block a few times.
We've all seen manufacturing claims of "better handling" and what-not fom aftermarket springs. Some of us have actually been lucky enough to have felt it a few cazillion times. Some haven't.
For those that haven't, I was perusing the net for more info on my new car today in an effort to learn, learn, learn all there is to know about an STI and it's heritage.
I happened upon the "Top Gear" webpage. Great show...I miss it. At any rate, the test driver on the show known as "The Stig" has driven a pair of STi's in his efforts for the show:
The standard (UK) STi had a lap time of 1.30.1
The (UK) Sti WR1 had a lap time of 1.29.4

Around a 1 second difference. And after some reading the WR1 seemed to only be different in it's lowered stance and different spring rates.

Nuff. said....buying JDM pinks asap...and for the folks that haven't enjoyed springs, get em. Oh, and check the Top Gear website too, its pretty darn cool.

May I suggest the Crucial Racing Springs. Same springs rates as the pinks but about a $100 cheaper and very good quality.

^Hey, thanks! Being new to the land of Subaru, I appreciate tips like this alot. JDM pinks just seemed to be THE spring to have when I've searched. Of course, that could be the whole "JDM or nothin'" thing too... ;]

Update: Checked out the Crucial Website.....I'm sold, seems like a good value without the JDM mark-up.
