reason on why front increased height
so after installing perrin springs on my stock struts, yesterday i noticed that they are a bit higher then before. they used to be about 2 finger gap but now they are about 2 1/2 to 3 finger gap now. what would be the cause? improper seating?

no, springs are installed correctly, perrin states front is 1.9 and read 1.5. i know the rear is supposed to be more dropped then the front but the front recently went higher.. thats why im thinking its a seating problem...
Did you put the fronts on the rear? And try an impact wrench on the strut bolts. They get tight towards the end, but its sometimes hard to get them all the way down.

Subaru's typically have higher front end stance. It is due to 2 reasons.
#1. The shape of the wheelwell cut out in the back is of a more squeeshed "O". The front just has a slightly larger wheelwel.
#2. It is done for handling purposes, so you don't kamikazi nose dive during hard braking turn.
---
If you even it out visually, your front will actually be lower. So unless your springs and shocks can handle it, I would keep the front about 10-15mm higher.

It'll probably go down to what it was before. Sometimes it takes a while for the shock to "settle in." When I installed my Pro Kit springs on my stock struts I was kindof disappointed at first, but after I drove it around alittle bit they settled down and now looks how it is supposed to be.

Yeah...
Everytime you jack up either end, it tends to stay stretched out a bit...seems like with my Prodrives this is the case...but the time it takes to settle back down seems to lessen each time I do it...probably the same in your case....
Installed the springs...rode it around for a bit...then jacked up the front end to do some work IE: Oil Change, endlinks etc...put it back down and a day later noticed it was higher...then settled down again...
