question about springs?
Ok, so i'm looking at a spring sets to buy. Choices are endless, so I was thinking about tein h-tech or s-tech, rsr and prodrive. So my questions to whomever responds is have you had any of these brands and how do you like them? Is there a preference for one brand more than the other? Is there any other recommendations?

STi pinks, prodrives, and Eibachs are the most popular choice
Tein S is known to be too low and will kill your stock struts quickly (actually anything lower your car more than 1.5 inch)

well i dont own any of these springs but ive been reading up on some of them. the prodrive is actually made by eibach but used the prodrive name, i hear its almost the same except the spring rate is different, i could be mistaken. whati do know for sure is the prodrive is more expensive but a lot of people like them because the drop is subtle, it doesnt slam ur subaru, it also stiffens the ride a tiny bit but people say they dont feel like, and it handles a lot better. so depending on what ur looking for, either more on handling or looks, ur best bet is prodrive. also another question u should answer is if you're going to use ur stock strut towers or aftermarket ones, because prodrive is great for stock strut, meaning it wont break it as fast as some other springs. i also hear tien springs, i think it was the stech, is not really good because it sags eventually. i suggest u do a search, i know its easier to post a question because who would want to look at all those posts, but just browse around. like broom dude said, pinks, prodrives, or eibachs are pretty good. i also have a question to the future thread readers which is..does the eibach springs lower the car more than the prodrive ones?
Hurray, it's Ian!!

don't get the S.techs. i have em.
stick with H.techs, they are light too.
from what i hear, people on the forums like eibachs, but people i actually meet in person don't like eibachs at all, because they aren't low enough.
skyline r35 is right about not going below 1.5" most springs will eventually hurt your stock struts, but anything lower than 1.5" will hurt it quickly.
this is what i've gathered from browsing all the different suspension forums for our cars in the last few days.
the best bet is to save and go coilovers, but I got my springs because they were a gift. I feel bad about selling off gifts, without at least using them for a while.
