Put AGX/eibach on my RS!

Haven't posted here in a while, or much at all, but though I'd share. On Monday the 17th I the UPS man delivered my KYB AGX adjustable struts that I ordered a week earlier from an e-bay shop. I also ordered springs from the same place, but had to get my paypal account verified and unfortunatly was able to finally pay for them 4 days later. So because of this I wasn't expecting to get my springs till the end of this week and to probably put them on over the weekend. But low and behold, the UPS man pulled up in front of my house tuesday afternoon carrying a box! Here are my springs!
Yea I was happy, probably even happier than I get around christmas time or my birthday. So I layed everything out in my family room and took a picture.

Took a before picture of my car.

Soon my friend came over to help me put them on, so we got started. By this time its dark out, couple hours past mainly because we had to run to sears to pick up a 19mm 6 sided hex socket because my 19mm 12 sided hex socket was ripping apart the 2 bolts connecting the struts to the hub, which I guess were prob torqued around 140 plus ft./lbs. (***** and a half to get off). So an hour or too after getting off the bolts we finally got the fronts off. Then the next hard thing was to remove the bolt off the top of the strut rod. (None of this would be hard with air tools). When you turn the bolt the rod spins! :mad Can't grab the rod w/ vice grips because when the strut compresses fluid can leak through dents in the rod. So we finally got the springs removed and everything apart, here are the new struts and the old ones.

Here are the new front springs next to the old ones, they sit about an inch lower, and are a lot stiffer... heh heh

And finally, we mount the first assembled strut/spring to the front left of the car! Brake lines still need to be reconnected and bled.

And an additional few hours later have passed. Got the 3rd strut/spring mounted to the rear left of the car, just 1 more to go. I see my aftermarket rear sway is "rust proof" like they claimed! :rolleyes I gotta adjust it because the steering isn't as responsive as it used to be.

Picture of the 4th assembled strut/spring, ready to go!

And here is the car this morning, sitting a little lower (1 inch), once the springs settle maybe a tad lower, and definatly handling A LOT better.

After installing everything last night I took the car out for a spin,
Compared to how the suspension used to feel, it now felt like a racecar, glued to the road, very very stable. After installing my tires (falken azenis) 2 months ago, I could take turns 15 - 20 mph faster, but now with the springs and struts, it now feels stable and planted with more to go at the speeds around turns where the limits used to be reached! But before I try to find it's new limits, I really need an alignment, plus there is rain all this week! :mad My tires aren't the greatest in the rain. Air tools would have definatly made the installation easier. And these struts are adjustable too, right now they're set in the middle, I can make them even stiffer which blows my mind, cause the handling is so good already. Ride quality is obviously stiffer, but the doesn't bother me, the greatly improved handling makes it all worth it. Plus, this is a sports car, they're not supposed to be "comfy". The springs and struts were definatly worth the $700 total. (shipping includ.) Stiffer Suspension, who needs more HP?

Also, remember to get your alignment done soon- after my strut and spring install, I decided not to get mine done because the car handled well, tracked straight, etc. and I thought my alignment was okay. It wasn't. I destroyed a set of S03s because of bad toe settings.

Toe is what eats tires fast.

i'm currently considering Tein Flex Coilovers and an AGX/Eibach combo too. I'm leaning more toward the AGX/Eibach combo though.
i was at scoobymods and they said that with Teins, the ABS line has to be mounted to the car instead of the strut, so I was just wondering if the AGXs have a place to mount it.
btw, here's the link to the scoobymods link for the Teins:
