Installing the Prodrive springs should not have any adverse affects on your car. Infact, the springs will give a noticable improvement on your cars handling as well as helping minimize the huge wheel gap REXs have.

I'll be buying some Espelir springs: Same effect as Prodrives, but for $100 less.

osidescooby, most lowering springs lower the car evenly, which makes the rear fender gap look too small. Prodrive is actually the best one at minimizing that drooping **** look and making the car appear more "even"

Prodrive springs are made to work with stock struts, and claim to have no adverse effects on the struts life span. I have been in a WRX with prodrives and the ride is stiffer, but not jarring. They also dont make your rex bounce down the road like so many slammed civics.

I'm sure prodrive will tell you if that you pose a risk of blowout. Call a specialist in the field of suspension work, if you can find one. A non-biased third party is always better than a salesman. Thats just from my experience though.

BTW, the prodrive spirngs are made by eibach. I don't know if that helps but if anyone has any experience with eibach, I'm sure these are probably similar.

If you get a full blown race spring or massive drop spring....something that is gonna dump you like 2 inches or more.....yeah your struts are gonna blow much quicker....5k...don't know about that fast...but faster...hell yeah..like mabye 10-15k I would say is more realistic....from what I have seen.

Spring like prodrive...one that goes like .5-1.25 inches or so....not really gonna effect your strut. Might blow it 5k or so faster than with stock springs...but aggressive driving is gonna do that all on it's own.

Just my opinion and experience.

Prodrive from my experience has been very helpful and pretty honest.

Last I checked...04 springs coming out in the next month.....march...can't wait.

Actually they told me later this month....meaning this month.

I'd call them in this week...probably be out in the next couple weeks.
