Powder coating STi pinks

What would be necessary to powdercoat a set of STi pink struts ? The springs are pretty straight forward. Im just concerned with the hydraulic fluid in the struts. What temp can they handle being heated to during the baking process ? Can they easily be taken apart ? I know its sacrilegious to get rid of the pink, but I want some stealthy black pinks.

TIA

If you want them to be stealthy, just install a set of wheels. You can hardly see the struts/springs once you get some road grime on them. A lot cheaper that way

I don't know about the struts...but does powder coating work for things that flex a lot? I would think some type of rubberized paint would be better. I think powder coats are pretty hard, which is awesome to resist scratching (for wheels) but that would work against it working well for flexing applications.

You may be able to find a powder coater that uses infrared lights for the hardening process instead of an oven. They are commonly used for parts too big to fit into an oven. I would think it to be no more harmful than the heat and stress encountered from hard driving. Of course you could always call a powder coater in your area and ask. Also, ask them if they have a batch of black parts to coat. It's way cheaper for a common color. I found an iron shop that coats furniture in my area and I piggy back on there batches for a fraction of the cost. Good luck.

I don't know why you would do it, but I guess if you really want to, I would just spray paint them.
