perrin springs...
perrin springs...
i was looking at lowering spriings for my wrx. i know if you go lower than usually 1.5 u should replace the stock strut. i came across perrin lowering springs and the site said this "The spring rate and progression have been designed to work with the stock Subaru strut assembly requiring no additional components". do you think this is bs? does anyone have perrin springs on their stock struts?

It seems that a lot of springs claim they work with stock struts. Perrin springs lower the car quite a bit. That would seem to put more load on the struts than other aftermarket springs that don't lower as much. I think that they would work for awhile, but the struts would need to be replaced sooner than they would on another set of springs.

do u think the eibach prokit would be better on stock struts? i was just wondering what set of good springs i could get that wont blow the struts after like 10 or 15 thousand miles of use. eventually im gonna upgrade the struts i just dont have the money now.

I eventually want my final suspension setup to be aftermarket springs, endlinks sway bar, front n rear strut bars and struts. the first thing i want to do is lower the car with a set of springs and as ive looked at other peoples cars n modlists, the ones with just springs r usually eibach and i know eibach is a trusted brand so im probably goin to go with eibach springs. after that i might get a package with a rear perrin sway bar and perrin front and rear endlinks.
kyb struts n cusco strut bars. tell me what u guys think of that setup.

The struts bars are something you really don't need up front unless you are driving at the limits, which you should not be doing on the street. And if you had a wagon then I'd say get the rear strut bar...but since you don't, save your money and get someting like the ALK or the Perrin version which adds positive caster to your can which also helps with grip and reduce understeer.
And Alignment and maybe some steering rack bushings.
