OBS springs options?

I searched the forums, and several other people have asked this question with no response. What kind of springs are compatible with an Impreza Outback Sport (MY98 to be specific)? Is it the same as all Imprezas?

I was looking at the prodrive (eibach manufactured) setup designated for 98-01 imprezas... Would these fit?

Any information or previous experience with lowering an OBS would be extremely helpful. Thanks.

I'm cant say for certain but I know why there is a lack of responses. The OBS came with a built in lift kit from the factory that is a costly PITA to remove. I'm fairly certain that you can do springs but I dont think it will give you the results you want. I think you'll need to have a shop remove the lifter plates and work from there w/ any impreza suspension. So my advice is either talk to your local shop of PM or E-Mail a member here named ForcedAirTech who has a lowed OBS. GOOD LUCK.

I had no problems with just replacing the struts and springs. I put in STI v5 struts and stock RS spring but i think i'm going to step up to either P1 springs or STI v5 or v6 springs and replace the tophats. The struts on the OBS are the same as on the RS and the springs seem to be about the same spring rate as RS springs. They are just a little longer to jack the car up to the stock OBS height. Hope that answers your question.

An Impreza is an Impreza pretty much. Suspension wise you can treat the car as an RS.
