hey scoobies, I have a MY03 here in Oregon and I wanna tweak it a little. I think I can get my hands on a set of the STI springs and struts with about 10000 miles on em for about 400 bucks, thats down from like 1100 from the dealer... do they actually lower the car or are they just stiffer springs? anybody think thats a good deal?
my next option might be to get the eibach pro kit with agx struts when they come out (kyb emailed me back saying they'll be out in July)
I like to get busy on the backroads, so I need it to be solid, but then I gotta take the fellas to a game or the gfriend to a show, so I don't want to bounce all the way there. will the STI stuff annoy those less fortunates who don't like to get sideways at 60?
also, is there a real need for a front strut bar? the towers seem awful close to the firewall, is that enough support? should I spend the money somewhere else? and does anybody make a rear strut bar? I've been told that it needs to get stiff early on in the susp mod process... thanks

The STi stuff generally lowers your car 30mm or about 1".
If you want some low cost instant gratification, get a larger rear adjustable sway bar for about $150. Infact, since your in Oregon go to Alta Sports in Aloha Oregon. They should have some nice Perrin suspension pieces for you.
