must be a reagional thing. around here break stands are when you put a foot on the break and one on the gass but you dont push the gass to the point of breaking the tires loose. Its ment to pre-load the drive train and suspension for launch.
Much like around here power shifting is going from one gear to another without using the clutch. Where in other places that means shifting from one gear to another without letting off the gass and mearly 'blipping' the clutch inbetween.
