Looking for new springs

They will be for my 02 WRX Wagon which is my DD. Im looking for a nice drop but im going to use it out on the track a few times as well as drive to the snow and all that good stuff.

So what do you guys recommend? and if I'm doing springs should I up to STI struts? If not do I have to worry about blowing my struts?

thanks in advance!

IMO and many others Swift springs are the best. They are the only springs that LIC motorsports sells and they will tell you that they are the best. Subydude also has them on his 06/07 and you can look up pictures to see what it looks like. Its a really nice drop imo. You dont need to upgrade your struts but a lot of people like upgrading to adjustable struts like a Tokico D-spec or or KYB AGX. How long your strut lasts depends on the spring. Swift springs are designed to work with the stock strut and i wouldnt worry about it going out anytime soon.

i recommend a strut upgrade. OEM struts will be underdamped for any aftermarket spring with relatively higher spring rates then oem. Your car will bounce because the dampers are not made to dampen this higher spring rate. I actually induced this when messing around with my tokico d-specs, It was very annoying. Now i've found the perfect setting and i'm even compensating for a lack of sway bar right now. To make a long story short, rear bar install went horribly wrong and i just didn't have the energy to throw the oem back in. I've got the rear stiffened up to where it doesn't understeer like crazy.

i think the best springs out right now are crucial racing springs. and they are amazing for wagons and are one of the best performing, quality made german manufactured springs designed for WRX's and STi's. not to mention a lifetime warranty! check them out at www.crucialracing.com

The stock WRX dampers are a definite weak point for a car that sees the track.

We make our own RCE Wagon springs because there weren't any springs available that were designed specifically for the WRX wagon with upgraded struts. Spring rates are firmer than any other wagon spring out there, but with a good strut like Tokico or Koni, it will still ride well.

I have a set of Whitelines, and they have been really nice overall and have not destroyed my stock struts. I can easily keep up with a few friends that went full coilovers, but that's most likely because they set theirs too low :-)

There are TONS of threads out there and some SUPER indebth stuff for wagons on NASIOC.

I highly recommend doing a strut upgrade if you plan on seeing the track and the only true option in my opinion is koni.

As for springs. I wish I could run the RCE springs but my KYB AGX struts aren't quite up to snuff for them.

RCE. Pink wagon spring (what I have). Crucial. Swift.

those all get thumbs up from me for wagons.

I'd also highly recommend WL front/rear sway bars and endlinks.
