Legacy GT brakes with RS wheel?

Legacy GT brakes with RS wheel?
has anyone tried to fit them over the legacy brakes yet because RS wheels can be had for much cheaper than 16"x7.5" if it fits under a 16" wheel at all
i looked at my friends WRX and they will not clear the stock wheels because there is 3/8" between the caliper and wheel
