i'll second your request. it looks like pretty damn good stuff, but i'd be interested in hearing from someone who is running it.

i would think that the DMS 40mm kit might be more comparable to the Leda coilovers, but i could be wrong.

Ledas are great for street and track, but do not use Leda's for rally.

A couple years back, when I was crewing for Paul Eklund, he used to run these for rally. Almost every rally ended up with having to get at least 1 strut rebuilt.

Not worth the cost. DMS are better on all grounds (except price)... But you know the old adage, you get what you pay for!

i wouldn't think that it would be a terribly good idea to use any brand of street/track coilover for anything more than smooth course rallycross driving, let alone full on rally racing. some might last better than others, but it would certainly shorten the serviceable life of all of them. comparing DMS rally/gravel coilovers to Leda road/track coilovers isn't terribly fair.

I don't know if these are the exact ones (it was about 3 or so years ago), but they do look similar, with the remote resavoirs and all... At the time it was a very expensive set.

I've ridden on Tein's, they aren't so bad for daily, but strong enough for rallycrossing. the DMS Gold (40mm) set is really nice. here in the NW there are plenty of rallycrossers running on those.

Last season, when i navigated for Richard Buckner, we ran the DMS 50's with the progressive rate springs. VERY strong, and on their lightest setting, almost comfortable enough for daily driving.

KYB AGX's with better springs is also a good, cost effective combo.

GAB also makes some impreza stuff, but i haven't had the opportunity to ride in a car such equipped. I know that some mitsu guys REALLY like the GAB setup.

my $0.02

edit: someone in the NW selling their DMS golds: https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...threadid=23133

oh man, if you do a search for DMS on nasioc, you will find so many horror stories it will blow your mind. it shocks me to hear that people actually use them for the WRX. to be honest, the DMS 40s were an afterthought for the WRX market in that they were searching for something that performed like their awesome 50s, but at a lower price point. they quickly designed a strut without testing it, put in into production, and guess what? it failed miserably. they would go a couple hundred miles before they started clunking like mad and were useless. DMS was then swamped with pissed off people with a set of $1600 paperweights sitting in their garages. they had no chance of providing customer service as they had one guy in australia who was supposed to deal with all that. so they now have an office at lachute subaru in canada for the NA market and are trying to fix their image but they've got A LOT of work to do.
