KYBs have a lifetime warranty, and you don't have to hack your stock housing.
For most people the KYB is a very good strut and will work much better than stock. However, it is fairly well known in the track racing community that you will get nominally better times on the Koni. The Koni's have a much wider range of adjustments (although only rebound is adjustable on the inserts) and are better for the serious racer.

thank you for that cobraKLR. so you're saying the valving on the konis is better than the KYBs and the resolution of adjustment is better on the konis. that seems about right. having said that, i wonder what the differences in lap times would be with two cars identically equipped save for different struts; koni SA vs. KYB AGX. I'd be willing to bet that it'd be minimal. Perhaps I'll write a thread for sticky that defines the differences between the two more clearly.
