Make sure the strut is torqued down in the strut plate. That frequently causes clunking. Also, make sure your springs are oriented correctly. They have to be rotated to "face" the right direction.

check the lugs

did you use bump stops?

did you reuse the rubber bottoms that sit on the springs perch?

what are you using for tophats?

No, I think he means: " Did you tighten the bottom bolt that holds the insert in the strut housing".
And the ride quality is amazing. Big difference compared with AGX and even stock for smoothnes and so much better handling too.

so you're saying that the koni's not only work on the WRX, but that they are better than the AGX?!?!

i would argue with you if i could only get the fronts to freaking work!!!!

What argument? KYB has always been an entry level strut. If your on a budget and just an agressive driver, you get KYB. If you are everything else, you get something other then KYB.

since you're so confident, why don't you explain to us the differences in the technical specifications between the two and how they allow the konis to perform better than the AGX?

How about the small pistons, 1.5" maximum lowering height with the KYB's, the limited warranty, and the consistant track record of blowing out under other applications?

There is no need to explain anything really. A simple bit of research or practical experience from your honda buddies will tell all. They dont say "Keep Your Bilstiens" for nothing.

If I had to buy a KYB product, it would have to be from an STi. Not the US market crap we get.

Also how many track guys win on KYB?

I don't have any friends who own Hondas that have used KYBs. That was a cute little comment though.

Do you know what the piston diameter is on the Koni SAs for the WRX? If you look that up, I'll measure the pistons on my AGX and we can see how they measure up.

There's nothing that comes with the AGX that states you cannot run them at whatever ride height you please. I was also told by Gruppe-S that KYB is very good about replacing broken struts.

Since I'm not up on the "track scene" you speak of, why don't you share with us the names of all your racer friends who win on Konis.
