ideal setup for 05 STi

wanted to go with the cobb stage 2 but was wondering if there was a better spring /strut combo for comfort for STi but still handles pretty well

Tein S.TECHS were fine on my car. But I would recommend getting Yellow Koni's with Swift Springs.

But then again it seems like azn_ryder02 is more concerned with comfort than performance so those might be just fine for him.

Not sure if SPT makes a spring for the STI but they do for the WRX and they're progressive rate. I think Eibach pro kit is also progressive http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/subsus.htm. Neither of these springs will be the best when it comes to performance but they should be comfortable. I have no experience with STI's but I did have SPT's on my 02 and they were stiffer than my OE suspension but too soft for my taste.

Good luck

sorry probably should of made it a little more clear umm performance is also a concern . but the roads here are kind of rough so i was looking for something for the STi that was decent for daily driving while still retaining performance. I heard prodrives were pretty good but wasnt sure so i kind of wanted to see if anyone had any other info. has anyone used the RSR ti-2000 springs they sell em on fast wrx .com yet ? also i wanted to be a little more specific because i havent heard very much for Sti suspension components. springs comparitve between COBB springs, Prodrives, and others would be helpful. do you think coilovers would be the way to go TEIN FLEX, or CUSCO was the way i was looking at, any insights??

Here's a couple links that might be helpful. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ht=STI+springs . http://racecompengineering.com/item....tegory=Springs

RCE and the Ion springs are both progressive. JDM Pink's, Prodrive and Swift's are also great.

I'd say go for some Koni's also but they don't make anything for the STI and I haven't heard of any mods to make them fit unless your willing to get some WRX struts to gut but I'm not sure if that would even work.
