I need some help!

A little background, I developed a hole in my upper powersteering line and needed to replace it. Now this is the line that also has the line going from the pump to the steering rack attached.

So I replaced both lines and bleed the system but its still hard to turn the steering wheel when the car is on the ground. I drove around and while turning and stopping for a stop sign, I could feel vibration in the brake pedal. Is it possible that because I didn't prime it that I damaged the steering rack itself?
