You mean the brake pistons? for a pad replacement? If so, just use a c-clamp... and for the Brembos I do it by hand.

I do it by hand on my WRX's calipers (stock so not 4pots). Never had the need for a c-clamp (though it prolly would help :/ ).

They sell a tool at Sears. It looks like an 'X' and has a screw at one end. Otherwise, just take a flathead screwdriver between the rotor and pad or a pair of pliers grabbing the backing plate of the pad and a fixed part on the caliper and pry back.

I use a C clap and half of an old door hinge so it fits over both pistons....

Make sure to watch the fluid level in your brake master cylinder. When you compress the brake caliper pistons fluid will go back into the master and possibly spill all over your engine bay. This sucks b/c brake fluid eats through paint.

One way to avoid this is to use a bleeder bottle. Attach the bleeder bottle to the bleeder nipple on the caliper, and crack open the bleeder before you compress the calipers. Make sure to close the bleeder before you remove pressure from the pistons to prevent air from entering the brake lines.
