HELP!! rotor grinding on caliper bracket
I have a 2002 WRX at 80k miles. stock brakes, rotors, suspension..
i was driving when i noticed a bad metal scraping/grinding/clicking in the front passenger side wheel. so i checked and noticed my wheel bearing was completely gone. i also noticed my rotor had been rubbing up against the caliper bracket and dust plate.. just figured it was from all the play in the hub.
so after replacing a bad wheel bearing and axle on the front passenger side and putting everything back together, i experienced the same grinding sound. so i pulled the wheel back off and inspected the brake assemblly. it seems there was still play in the rotor. thought maybe the brake caliper was seizing so i disconnected the caliper and shot air through it to see if it moved. seemed a little iffy so i decided to replace it. after completely replacing the caliper and bracket it STILL was grinding on the bracket.
it seems as if the caliper isnt clamping to allign the rotor.
so its my guess that it could be a warpped rotor? or maybe the axle isnt tightend enough? i dunno..
*Dont know if its related to this but my ABS is all messed up as well
PLEASEEEE help me figure this out.
here is another similar case except im brakes are all stock:
