ground control suspensions
Does any one have the ground control quasi coil-overs and if you do what shocks did you use. I'm thinking this might be a hot set up with the quasi coil-overs and some agx adjust able shocks and cusco camber plates.
P.s. this would be on a 99 rs.

FYI the GC spring perches eat up around 1" of bump travel so with struts like the KYB's you don't want to drop it too much. Like WRC1 I have Koni's and I'm waiting on my GC's. With Koni's you can modify the oe strut housing to add around 1" of bump travel by drilling the bottom of the strut out to around 1.375" and using a set of spacers (D_REX spacers). Some other things to think about would be cutting the oe spring perches (for more adjustability), coating the spring ends with a rubberized paint and adding a shock boot to protect the strut shaft. If you're interested in going this route just tell me and I will get you all of the info you need.
What rates and lengths do you plan on going with and how much do you plan on dropping the car?
BTW, you might want to look into a set of GC camber/caster plates.
oops, just realized you have a 99 RS. Not sure if the spring perches eat up as much bump travel.

I don’t have my coilover kit installed yet (camber/caster plates not included yet). I’m modifying my oe strut housings to add around 1” of bump travel by cutting a 35mm hole in the bottom and adding some spacers which will allow me to lower my inserts around 1” in the oe housings. Since I don’t have a die grinder and a carbide burr I let someone cut the hole for me and they screwed up and cut the hole too big and now I have to find another set of struts so I can start all over.
Did you have this problem when everything was new or did it start to happen a couple months after the install? The bearings and bushings need to be maintained so you might want to try greasing everything up.
Good luck

i did the same this by cutting the oe strus housing bigger so that the stut would sit down lower. The noise started to haapen after. but i have isolated the problem, but no matter what i do, i still get the noise. =(
