general brake question

having this problem with another car... front pads/rotors squeal when warmed up, and feel like there is a slight warp in them. they don't do it when cold, but the longer u drive the louder they get. if i am hard on the brakes, they are not noisy, but under light braking it's damn loud. when backing up in reverse, they sound "coarse", like sandpaper.

the pads/rotors have about 80% meat left in them, but i've tried everything the mechanics tell me... chamfered the pads, put lots of anti-squeal grease on the backsides of the pads, machined the rotors once, resurfaced them a second time... it always comes back.

was hoping someone out there might know something i don't... hoping i don't have to spend big $$$ on brand new pads/rotors
