general question

i am planning on buying a 2004 wrx (not sti) very soon. i am just wondering if it has the same exact engine as the 2002-2003. and will parts for the 02-03 wit in it

Engine is the same. You just get a moonroof option and some other goodies.

if you want the exacts talk to the dealership. but one of the big ones is that the WRX comes with a radio, the STI does not. The glass on the STI is gonna be thinner. Etc. I got that info from the dealer so its probably right

dealerships around here dont know anything about the STI...all they told me is that itll be there in june. he also said the 2004 wrx will be the exact same as the 02-03 except for the taillights,headlights,and sunroof. do you think that everything for the 02-03 will fit..like FMIC,all that?

probably not...

there are certain things that may be able to be used, but FMIC's and all may be different, given that the front end of the 04's will be different.

I would wait to get parts for an '04, because there may be some other slight differences...as there were between the '02 and '03 (such as brake pads, ligthed ignition, clutch).

just my .02 cents.

the impression that i got from my dealership was that the car is just getting a facelift, mean that all the good stuff is staying the same. i'm sure that there will be minor tweaks to the 04 cars but as far aas major changes i am not expecting any.
